As an EM and Antenna Engineer at Destinus, you will help build the electromagnetic core that powers the company’s next‑generation autonomous UAVs. Destinus designs cutting‑edge unmanned aerial vehicles for defense customers worldwide, delivering speed, precision and cost‑effective solutions that reshape modern military operations. Your daily work will revolve around creating and refining RF and millimetre‑wave designs through industry‑standard simulation tools. You will evaluate complex electromagnetic structures, produce clear technical recommendations, and seek performance gains via simulation‑driven optimisation. Tasks include radar‑cross‑section modelling for both Destinus aircraft and external platforms, radome design that meets both electromagnetic and structural criteria, and the integration of antenna subsystems to support navigation, communications, radar and other wireless functions. You will also assess antenna placement, coupling and interactions to ensure multiple systems coexist without interference, and validate designs through laboratory, field and anechoic‑chamber measurements while collaborating with RF, avionics, mechanical and flight‑test teams. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electromagnetics, telecommunications, aerospace engineering or a related discipline. You must be proficient with electromagnetic simulation, particularly Ansys HFSS, and familiar with HFSS 3D Layout, PyAEDT or Microwave Office; experience with AWR is a plus. Programming skills in Python or MATLAB for automation and data analysis are expected, as is a solid background in radar‑cross‑section simulation, radome design and antenna element or array development. Professional fluency in English is mandatory, and a security screening including a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is part of the hiring process. Additional assets include knowledge of frequency‑selective surfaces, metamaterials, conformal antenna concepts and multi‑port electromagnetic structures. Experience designing antenna systems that minimise interference and maximise subsystem coexistence is valued. The role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment where innovative aerospace technologies are rapidly brought to market, providing strong growth potential for engineers eager to shape the future of defense.
