Supervisor in Piece Part Repair

A global engine maintenance, repair and overhaul organization headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with more than nine decades of experience serving hundreds of clients worldwide, is looking for a Supervisor in Piece Part Repair to lead a crew of roughly twenty‑five staff members at its Zurich Airport facility. The role focuses on guiding the team to meet safety, quality, schedule and cost targets while aligning daily work with the broader objectives of the company. The supervisor will nurture a safety‑first mindset, making sure the relevant policies are understood and applied throughout the unit. Daily duties include organizing work assignments, monitoring labour productivity, and ensuring efficient use of resources. The leader will set periodic goals, conduct regular follow‑ups, and drive continuous improvement using Lean and 5S techniques. Preparation for internal and external audits, handling corrective actions, and overseeing skill development through on‑the‑job training and certification tracking are also key parts of the job. Candidates must possess a technical education, with aviation exposure considered a plus, and have at least three years of experience leading teams or major projects. Strong interpersonal abilities, clear communication, and a problem‑solving attitude in a fast‑paced setting are essential, as is a focus on safety, quality and cost efficiency. Fluency in English at a B2 level or higher is required; German knowledge is beneficial. Familiarity with maintenance documentation tools, Microsoft Office, and preferably SAP, together with experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methods, is expected.
