Structural Engineering Manager

Kanadevia Inova, a global leader in innovative waste‑to‑X solutions, is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to help turn discarded material into valuable products such as energy, heat, hydrogen and fertilizer. The position sits within a company that blends technology and sustainability to reshape waste infrastructure worldwide. The manager will be responsible for designing structural systems that stay within budget and schedule, drafting technical specifications for structural steel, and supporting the commercial team in supplier selection. Day‑to‑day duties include overseeing project timelines, completing engineering documentation on time, supervising suppliers during execution, conducting inspections, reviewing documents, handling quality control and resolving non‑conformities. The role also requires coordination with technical project management, owners, third‑party vendors and other project lots, as well as collaboration with plant design, installation, piping, electrical and control groups to achieve integrated delivery while adhering to contractual, regulatory, quality and health‑safety standards. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience, or a master’s degree with a minimum of three years, in structural engineering, plus at least three years of hands‑on project execution. Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as Dlubal RSTAB/RFEM, CSI SAP2000, Bentley STAAD Pro or comparable FEM 3D software is required, as is fluent written and spoken English. Mastery of MS Office/PIRS and strong technical documentation abilities are essential, together with proven leadership, autonomous project management and the capacity to handle complex problem‑solving, negotiation and strategic decisions. Additional language skills, particularly French, are viewed as an advantage, as is experience managing technical interfaces and addressing client engineering queries.
