Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure

Our company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team within the Custody department, where the focus is on ensuring the reliability and performance of our platform. The role involves shaping engineering practices and empowering the team to deliver features efficiently. The main responsibilities include driving improvements in automation, observability, and platform stability, as well as designing and operating scalable infrastructure across multiple cloud providers. This also entails leading infrastructure architecture and reliability improvements, implementing monitoring and observability, and owning blockchain node infrastructure. Additionally, the role involves building automation, driving deployment operations, and identifying performance bottlenecks. To be considered for this position, candidates must have over 10 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or systems operations, with a focus on highly available production systems. They must also have experience managing blockchain nodes, operating infrastructure in high-traffic environments, and working with PostgreSQL, Terraform, containerized infrastructure, and Kubernetes. Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, Go, Bash, or TypeScript is also required. Nice-to-have skills include experience with messaging and queueing technologies, observability tools, and GitOps practices. The ideal candidate will also have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and a focus on operational excellence. The role involves working with a team and participating in on-call rotations, supporting production incidents, and contributing to internal platform tools and services.
