The Sensor Technician works inside the Machine‑Readable Features Laboratory of a worldwide leader in trust technologies, contributing to the creation and upkeep of sophisticated sensor solutions that enable machine‑readable authentication and traceability. The position sits at the intersection of electronics, optics, software and chemistry, offering a hands‑on role for an electronics technician eager to deepen expertise in cutting‑edge sensing within a research‑driven industrial setting. Daily tasks involve building and integrating electronic and electromechanical parts for both prototype and production sensor systems. The technician performs manual soldering and rework on printed circuit boards, connectors and fine‑pitch components, routes cables and assembles harnesses according to schematics, and conducts functional checks, troubleshooting, and repairs of assemblies and test benches. Additional duties include running test procedures, recording results for development teams, managing component inventories, and adhering to laboratory safety and quality standards. Applicants must hold a Federal VET Diploma in Electronics (Electronicien CFC) or an equivalent qualification and have some initial experience in electronics assembly, wiring or a laboratory environment. Required technical abilities cover proficient manual soldering, experience with pneumatic and cable‑harness assembly, the capacity to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings, and familiarity with instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies. A good command of French is essential, while basic English is considered a plus.
