Aero Performance Engineer

The Audi Revolut F1 Team, Audi’s official factory entry into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026, is looking for an Aero Performance Engineer to join its Swiss base at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil. The role sits within a multinational programme that also spans Audi’s power‑unit centre in Neuburg, Germany and its UK technology hub in Bicester, giving you a direct link to the heart of Motorsport Valley. Your daily work will involve live monitoring and real‑time assessment of the car’s aerodynamic behaviour during track sessions, whether on‑site or from the garage. You will translate those observations into actionable feedback for the track engineering crew, then carry out detailed post‑event performance and correlation analyses. Findings are communicated to the Performance Director, Aerodynamic Development and Track Engineering teams. You will also help evolve aerodynamic modelling methods and the associated software, and work closely with the Wind‑Tunnel Methodology group and Aero Analytics to shape testing strategies and generate aero maps. The position requires a BSc, MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Motorsport with a focus on aerodynamics, plus proven experience as an aerodynamicist or aero performance engineer in Formula 1—or another top‑tier series. You must be well‑versed in aerodynamic measurement techniques, competent in MATLAB and/or Python, and possess strong teamwork, communication and organisational abilities. The job demands precision under pressure, a solid grasp of current F1 aerodynamic concepts, readiness to travel for races and tests, fluent English, and German language skills are a plus.
