Technology Specialist I/II, IT

The Technology Specialist I/II, IT will join a fast‑moving life‑science organization that blends research with corporate services. The position bridges everyday user assistance, system upkeep and network care while championing automation and artificial‑intelligence tools that help scientists and administrative groups work more efficiently. Each day the specialist will design and roll out small‑scale automations, such as scripts, Power Automate flows, API links or large‑language‑model driven workflows, to eliminate repetitive tasks. Acting as a liaison between laboratory staff and the IT department, the role will highlight and introduce AI‑based helpers that boost data quality, speed up analyses and streamline processes. Documentation of reusable solutions will be a core habit, reinforcing an automation‑first mindset across the team. In parallel, the individual will serve as a senior point of contact for the help‑desk queue, delivering prompt on‑site and remote support for Windows, macOS, mobile platforms and common SaaS products like Office 365, Okta, Zoom, Egnyte and the Atlassian suite. Responsibilities also cover conference‑room AV gear, Zoom Rooms and other hybrid‑meeting technology, together with continual improvement of knowledge‑base articles and self‑service guides. The role calls for at least three years of practical IT support experience, preferably within a rapid‑pace biotech setting. Candidates must be comfortable with Microsoft Intune for Windows device management and with macOS management tools such as Addigy or Jamf. A solid grasp of Windows and macOS administration, Active Directory/Entra ID principles and fundamental networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi) is essential. An enthusiasm for AI‑driven automation and a proactive problem‑solving attitude are considered valuable extras.
