Hospital Specialist – Endocrinology and Metabolic Health - Switzerland

The position of Hospital Specialist, Endocrinology and Metabolic Health, is based in Switzerland and is part of Syneos Health, a global organization that partners with biopharmaceutical companies to bring innovative therapies to patients. The role focuses on advancing an emerging endocrinology portfolio across a designated European market, working closely with hospitals and specialist clinics to improve outcomes for individuals with metabolic disorders. Each day the specialist will manage a defined territory, building and nurturing relationships with endocrinologists, diabetologists, specialist nurses, pharmacists and other key stakeholders. Activities include delivering scientifically sound, compliant presentations both in person and through virtual platforms, crafting and executing business plans that align with regional targets, and using market insights and analytics to prioritize accounts. The incumbent will also maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical data, treatment pathways and product information, record activities in CRM systems, and collaborate with sales leadership, medical, marketing and operational teams while respecting functional boundaries. The ideal candidate must have a proven record of launching and promoting complex products within hospital or specialist environments. A solid grasp of hospital decision‑making processes, treatment guidelines and account‑management principles is essential. The role requires the ability to connect with healthcare professionals through face‑to‑face meetings, remote calls and digital tools, as well as experience organising compliant promotional events and congress participation. Strong communication, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills are mandatory, together with excellent analytical, planning and organisational abilities. The candidate should demonstrate effective collaboration with cross‑functional colleagues, be proficient with CRM and approved digital engagement platforms, and possess a valid driver's licence with a willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory. Compliance with all local legal and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical representatives is also required. Experience in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity or related metabolic health areas is highly desirable, as is a bachelor's degree in life sciences or equivalent relevant experience. Familiarity with engaging endocrinologists, diabetologists, obesity specialists and multidisciplinary care teams would be an added advantage.
