Sunflower Labs is a global company specializing in AI-powered drone security systems. These systems are designed to protect commercial, industrial, and residential properties. The company is seeking a Production Technician / Assembly & Test Technician to join their production team in Zurich-Stallikon. The main responsibilities of this role include assembling and inspecting mechanical and electromechanical parts, building subassemblies and final drone/base-station systems, and preparing parts, tools, and workstations. The technician will follow drawings, assembly instructions, and test procedures, inspect mechanical parts and electronic components, and use basic measuring tools, torque tools, and a multimeter. Additionally, the role involves configuring and testing electronic boards and modules, performing pass/fail tests, and recording results. The technician will also report quality issues, repeated failures, or unclear instructions, and support improvements to assembly and test procedures. Keeping the workplace clean, organized, and safe is also a key responsibility. To be successful in this role, candidates must have basic mechanical knowledge, an understanding of screws, fasteners, dimensions, and torque, and the ability to use a multimeter. They should also have a basic understanding of electronics and safe handling of components, the ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions, and an understanding of assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and consumables. Basic understanding of Quality Control, a careful, methodical, and reliable working style, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and report problems clearly are essential. Good computer skills for documentation and test records, and good written and spoken English are also required. Additionally, candidates must have a valid authorization to work in Switzerland. Nice-to-have skills include a qualification as a Polymechanic EFZ, automation technician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or similar. Experience in production, assembly, workshop, electronics, or technical service work is helpful. Experience with drones, RC models, robotics, or electronics projects, as well as experience with ESD-safe handling, crimping, soldering, cable assembly, or connector work, is welcome. Basic German skills are a plus. The role offers flexible working hours with a core time from 10:00 to 17:00, comprehensive training on products and production procedures, and hands-on experience with advanced drone and robotics technology.
