Our MedTech Field Service Engineer or Technician role lets you apply technical expertise while partnering with healthcare professionals to advance medical device technology. You will join IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence, helping customers improve patient outcomes worldwide. Each day you will organise, test and assemble automated medication‑dispensing systems, install and configure hardware, software and mechanical components, and review schematics, drawings and logistics documents. After installation you will run routine checks, record test data and ensure all work meets quality‑compliance standards. You will also coordinate with support staff, manage project timelines and respond to customer needs throughout the assignment. The position requires a Matura diploma and at least one year of experience in electronics, hardware, software or mechanical work. Fluency in English and German, professional business acumen and strong communication skills are essential. You must be comfortable using basic software and Microsoft operating systems, and be able to collaborate with design engineers, project managers and healthcare personnel to define equipment layout and workflow. Completion of hospital vendor credentialing, up‑to‑date immunisations and the ability to lift 50 lb, sit and stand for long periods are also mandatory. Preferred candidates include military veterans with an electronics‑related MOS and those who can work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision. The role is assignment‑based, offering 16‑30 hours of work per week plus paid travel time and mileage. Open availability Monday through Friday is required, as is an active, unrestricted driver's licence, a personal vehicle and residence within 30 miles of a major airport. Travel will be 100 % local, regional and national. Note that this position does not include medical benefits, but all required immunisations for hospital access must be current.
