Adaptyv is creating an automated laboratory that gives AI agents the ability to interact with real‑world biology experiments. The company supplies a deep software‑hardware stack that turns expensive lab instruments into API‑driven devices, coordinates dozens of pieces of equipment, and adds observability, data pipelines, and AI‑driven troubleshooting. As a fast‑growing biotech trusted by leading biopharma and frontier AI labs, Adaptyv needs a dedicated person to shape its public image and community engagement. In this hands‑on, high‑ownership role you will run Adaptyv's daily social activity on X and LinkedIn, sharing product updates, customer successes, blog highlights and relevant field news. You will manage the Proteinbase community by producing newsletters, competition updates, designer spotlights and moderating the Slack space where participants gather. You will also own the participant side of open competitions and hackathons, from applicant communication and rule setting to judging logistics and post‑event summaries, turning each event into a public artifact such as a leaderboard, dataset or blog post. Finally, you will triage inbound community and customer messages, directing technical queries to the appropriate team members and coordinating with founders and scientists on what to post or amplify. The position requires 1‑3 years of experience running social, content or community programs for a technical company, a science‑adjacent media brand, an event series or a community platform. You must have built or managed audiences yourself, demonstrate a strong and distinctive writing voice, and be genuinely curious about biology and AI so you can follow technical discussions without a science degree. High organization skills are essential to juggle multiple channels, partnerships and ongoing threads, and you need to be comfortable operating without a preset editorial calendar, deciding what is worth sharing based on current shipments and field conversations. Nice‑to‑have attributes include an existing presence in protein‑design or AI‑bio circles, prior experience running a hackathon or competition, and a proven track record of building a technical community from scratch. The role can be performed on‑site or remotely, provided you have timezone overlap with the US or Europe, and occasional travel to Lausanne and to events is expected. Working closely with the founders and the science team, you will have a direct impact on how the protein‑design and AI‑bio communities experience Adaptyv as it scales its AI‑driven wet‑lab experimentation. What the role asks for: - 1-3 years experience in social, content, or community management - Strong, distinctive writing voice - Genuine curiosity about biology and AI - Highly organized - Comfortable with ambiguity - Existing presence in protein design or AI bio circles (nice-to-have) - Experience running a hackathon or competition (nice-to-have) - Track record of building a technical community from scratch (nice-to-have)
