Julius Baer is launching an 18‑month Graduate Programme aimed at recent master's graduates who want to begin a career in wealth management. The Swiss private‑bank focuses on creating value beyond wealth and encourages an entrepreneurial mindset. The programme combines three rotations, one of which includes an international assignment, giving participants a solid foundation and a global network for a long‑term career in the industry. During the first rotation you will join the FX Trading unit in Zurich, specifically the STIR & FX Derivatives team. This front‑office group handles pricing, risk management and trading of short‑term interest‑rate products and foreign‑exchange derivatives for both internal and external clients. You will work side‑by‑side with senior traders, sales colleagues, risk managers and quantitative analysts, and later have the chance to spend time with a leading sales unit abroad and with the Quant Analytics & Development team. Your everyday tasks will involve collaborating with the global FX Trading team and maintaining close contacts with peers and stakeholders worldwide. You will respond to client inquiries concerning STIR and FX derivative products, assist the desk with daily operations and risk‑control activities, and contribute to enhancing the core pricing models. Keeping abreast of developments in FX, fixed‑income and STIR markets and promptly sharing those insights with internal teams is also part of the role. The programme looks for candidates who hold a master's degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, physics or economics with above‑average grades and who have graduated no more than twelve months ago. Fluency in English is mandatory, as is the legal right to work in the country of the position. The profile also requires a global mindset together with strong interpersonal abilities and a keen appetite for learning. Additional assets include any prior practical exposure to a trading environment, proficiency in German or another language, and further language skills. The position offers a tailored career path, international exposure, mentorship from industry leaders and the chance to make a tangible impact from day one, all within a dynamic Zurich office that sits at the heart of the bank's trading activities. What the role asks for: - Master's degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, physics or economics - Above‑average academic grades - Graduation within the past 12 months - Fluency in English - Eligible to work in the country of application - Global mindset with strong interpersonal skills and learning drive (must‑have) - Prior trading experience (nice‑to‑have) - Proficiency in German or other language(s) (nice‑to‑have)
