PAVE Space is developing LYOBA, a heavy‑kick stage capable of moving up to four tonnes from low‑Earth orbit to high‑energy trajectories within a single day. The company is now preparing its inaugural rocket‑engine test stand and requires an Automation Technician to create the supporting electrical hardware from the ground up. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceiving, assembling and wiring complete control cabinets for the test bench. They will install, connect and validate industrial sensors, actuators and data‑acquisition devices, and lay out the power and signal infrastructure throughout the workshop and the test site. Translating schematic drawings into real‑world wiring, they will ensure that every connection matches the design and that the overall system remains safe, tidy and easy to service. Collaboration with propulsion engineers will also involve fitting data‑acquisition equipment to the bench. Applicants must hold a CFC qualification in automation, electrical engineering or a comparable credential (a four‑year apprenticeship satisfies the Swiss requirement, while equivalent training or experience is acceptable elsewhere). At least two years of proven work building wiring cabinets, control panels and related infrastructure are required. Practical knowledge of selecting and operating industrial sensors, actuators and data‑acquisition hardware is essential, as is the ability to read and produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams fluently. The role demands comfort working in both a workshop and an active test environment, and fluency in English, which is the company's working language. Desirable experience includes familiarity with E‑plan, PLC programming, and the development of HMI or graphical user interfaces. Backgrounds in aerospace or other high‑reliability testing settings are valued, as is any proficiency in French. The position splits time between the Villeneuve (VD) workshop and the nearby Chavalon test site, both on‑site daily, and offers the chance to see the equipment you build power an actual engine test. What the role asks for: - CFC in automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent - Minimum two years building wiring cabinets and control panels - Hands‑on experience with industrial sensors, actuators, data acquisition hardware - Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams - Comfortable working in test site and workshop environments - Fluent English proficiency - Experience with E‑plan (nice‑to‑have) - PLC programming skills (nice‑to‑have) - HMI/GUI development experience (nice‑to‑have) - Knowledge of aerospace or high‑reliability test environments (nice‑to‑have) - French language ability (nice‑to‑have)
