2027 Internship Program

Caterpillar Inc. is launching a six‑month, full‑time internship that gives students and recent graduates practical exposure to commercial functions such as sales, marketing, business analytics and customer engagement. Interns will work on projects that help the company and its dealer network understand customer needs, spot market opportunities and drive growth. Day‑to‑day tasks involve analysing business, customer and market data to uncover trends, preparing reports, dashboards and presentations, and supporting market‑research and Voice‑of‑Customer activities. You will also aid the planning and rollout of marketing campaigns, customer‑engagement events and communication plans, while coordinating commercial projects and collaborating with sales, marketing and business‑development teams. The role requires strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent written and oral communication, and solid presentation skills. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and the broader Office suite, be highly organised with great attention to detail, and be able to work both independently and as part of a global team. A customer‑focused attitude, relationship‑building skills, adaptability, curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential, as is the ability to travel when needed. Ideal applicants are recent graduates (or students graduating August 2027 or later) in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, Communications, Engineering, Digital Marketing or Public Relations, with up to two years of professional experience. Prior exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Salesforce, knowledge of data analytics, digital marketing or project‑management principles, familiarity with AI productivity tools, additional European language abilities, or earlier internships in related fields are considered advantageous.
