A senior credit professional is needed for an internationally‑active commodity trading firm that specialises in metals. The company operates a worldwide network of offices and is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and strong risk‑management culture. The position is based in Geneva and reports to the Credit Risk function of the Metals business. The role centres on performing thorough credit assessments of counterparties and transactions, tracking global credit events and market developments, and issuing internal credit ratings and limits. Daily duties include overseeing exposure monitoring, handling limit breaches, managing margining and risk‑mitigation steps, and maintaining credit‑insurance arrangements. The incumbent will also support traders by reviewing contractual credit clauses, keep credit documentation up to date, and contribute to strategic credit‑risk projects while building relationships with banks and other financial partners. The successful candidate must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, business administration or a comparable discipline and bring at least seven years of experience in credit risk, credit analysis or a closely related field. Proven background in metals trading is essential, together with strong abilities in financial analysis, credit assessment and the interpretation of complex financial statements and corporate structures. A solid grasp of credit‑risk management principles, banking practices and control frameworks is required, as are excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills. The role demands the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced trading environment and to organise competing priorities under tight deadlines. Fluency in English is mandatory. The position offers exposure to high‑profile international trading activities, direct interaction with senior stakeholders and front‑office teams, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial work setting.
