Index Options Trader

G‑20 Group is a cross‑asset proprietary trading firm based in Switzerland that operates in delta‑one and derivatives markets worldwide. As an Index Options Trader you will oversee a discretionary portfolio of index options, working alongside other traders, quantitative researchers and developers to push the firm’s growth in a fast‑moving environment. Your daily work will involve designing, testing and fine‑tuning trading strategies for major benchmarks such as the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and Russell 2000. You will study market microstructure, order flow and volatility patterns—including skew, term structure and the gap between implied and realized volatility—to spot profitable setups. Execution will be carried out across listed index options and related futures, while you continuously manage the portfolio’s Greeks and adjust hedges around macro events and expirations. Collaboration with quant analysts and developers will be essential to improve pricing models, hedging algorithms and execution tools, and you will regularly report on performance and risk metrics. The position requires a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable discipline from a top‑tier university. Candidates must have a strong background in options trading, a solid grasp of pricing theory and volatility trading, and proven experience generating at least $2 million of annual profit for three consecutive years. Experience in high‑volatility assets, leveraged trading, quantitative analysis and data‑driven decision making is mandatory, as are excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred experience includes work in proprietary trading, market‑making or hedge‑fund settings, familiarity with automated and algorithmic options execution, and proficiency in Python, Excel/VBA and SQL. The role can be based in Zurich, London, New York or Hong Kong, but only candidates who already hold the right to work in one of those locations without sponsorship may apply.
