Robot Operator

Enact is an early‑stage startup that is redefining the robotics stack to bring general‑purpose intelligence into the physical world. By redesigning model architectures, data pipelines, actuators and sensors, the company creates a proprioceptive nerve system and a cortical layer that enables whole‑body force awareness for thousands of industrial and beyond‑industry tasks. As a Robot Operator you will act as the bridge between the digital AI models and the tangible robots that execute them. In this position you will conduct large‑scale task demonstrations using motion‑capture equipment, such as sorting items, operating tools, opening doors, assembling parts manually, and manipulating cables. You will continuously watch the incoming data streams, label trajectory metadata, and alert the AI engineering team to any anomalies or edge‑case behaviours. Routine duties also include preparing workstations, swapping end‑effectors, proposing hardware or software tweaks, and performing basic maintenance on the robot fleet. Collaboration is key: you will partner directly with AI researchers and robotics engineers to refine teleoperation controls and improve data‑acquisition pipelines. The role requires fluency in spoken English and strong interpersonal communication. You must be comfortable piloting a variety of robots for long periods, possess excellent hand‑eye coordination, spatial awareness and fine motor skills, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with an organized, systematic approach to engineering tasks. Additional assets include a basic familiarity with Linux commands, data‑logging utilities, and troubleshooting hardware, as well as experience from gaming, remote‑control piloting or mechanical assembly.
