Controller

The Controller position sits within a globally expanding firm that operates through a decentralized structure. In this role you will become the primary finance partner for senior leaders, handling planning, performance review and reporting for several business units. Your daily work will cover steering the budgeting and forecasting process, assembling monthly, quarterly and yearly reports that comply with IFRS, and dissecting results to pinpoint significant variances. You will turn those insights into clear advice for management, build useful KPIs and reporting tools, and support strategic choices through scenario modelling and investment analysis. Collaboration with local finance teams and central departments such as Legal and HR will be essential, as will participation in audit activities and the integration of newly acquired companies. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration or an equivalent field, or possesses a recognised professional credential such as CIMA, ACCA or a Swiss controlling qualification. At least three years of hands‑on experience in controlling or financial accounting, preferably within a group environment, is required. Proficiency with Excel, solid grasp of accounting principles and IFRS, a methodical and commercially aware analytical style, and the talent to convey complex financial concepts to non‑financial audiences are all mandatory. Fluency in German together with good English communication skills is also necessary. Additional assets include a background in merger‑and‑acquisition due diligence and post‑deal integration, as well as a willingness to improve processes through digital tools and automation.
