Electronics Technician - PCB Layout & Hardware Testing

The Electronics Technician, PCB Layout & Hardware Testing role is based in Glattbrugg, in the Zurich area, Switzerland. This position involves hands-on work with printed circuit boards (PCBs), supporting development, debugging, and validation activities alongside engineering teams. The main responsibilities include designing and laying out complex mixed-signal PCBs, maintaining and updating electronic schematics and circuit documentation, and performing hardware debugging, electronics testing, and circuit analysis. The role also involves troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing PCBs and electronic hardware systems, as well as supporting prototype validation and hardware bring-up. Collaboration with hardware engineers and electronics development teams is a key part of the job. To qualify, candidates must have an education as an Electronics Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar technical training. Hands-on experience with PCB layout, PCB design, or electronic hardware development is essential. A solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, along with experience in hardware troubleshooting and electronics testing, is required. Practical experience in PCB design or electronics hardware troubleshooting is encouraged. Nice-to-have skills include experience with Altium Designer or other PCB layout tools, knowledge of RF or microwave technology, and the ability to communicate in English within a technical environment.
