Flyability, a Swiss scale‑up with more than 150 staff and 1,500 customers, builds Elios, the world's first collision‑tolerant drone that can safely enter confined, hazardous spaces for inspection. As a Technical Customer Support Specialist you will join the Lausanne office and act as the first technical point of contact for users around the globe, helping them get the most out of the robot. Your daily work will involve handling tickets and phone calls, diagnosing problems that arise from the drone's hardware, onboard computers and software, and guiding customers step‑by‑step toward a solution. When an issue is beyond the usual scope, you will collect detailed data and hand it over to the Quality or R&D teams for deeper analysis. You will also maintain the internal hardware knowledge base, write clear technical articles for both customers and colleagues, and manage spare‑parts orders and repair tracking for the fleet. The position requires three to five years of experience in technical support, field service or a comparable troubleshooting role, together with a university degree in electronics, automation, robotics, mechatronics or a closely related discipline. You must be able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English, delivering complex information in an understandable way. Additional assets include a solid grasp of UAV operations and computer systems, fluency in German, French or other languages, and strong technical‑writing skills that turn engineering concepts into user‑friendly instructions. The role is full‑time (100 %) with flexible working hours, the possibility to work remotely up to two days per week, 25 vacation days plus public holidays, extra seniority‑based days off, comprehensive accident insurance, gym‑membership discounts and access to the Swibeco benefits platform. The team is collaborative, values independent thinking, and regularly gathers for social events such as ski weekends and summer barbecues. What the role asks for: - 3–5 years technical support or related troubleshooting experience - Degree in Electronics, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics or similar - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills - Understanding of UAV operations and computer systems (asset) - Fluency in German, French or other languages (asset) - Strong technical writing ability to simplify engineering concepts - Proactive, curious, organized, autonomous work style (asset)
