Senior Technical Specialist

The company is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join the Data Management team within Product Development Data Sciences (PDD). This role will focus on advancing science to improve patient outcomes and accelerate the release of life-saving medicines. The specialist will work on developing cutting-edge tools, automation, and next-generation technologies to streamline clinical trial data collection and delivery. The Senior Technical Specialist will design and deploy autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems to transform clinical trial data processing. This involves automating clinical data cleaning, validation, and analysis. The role requires building systems that comply with strict pharmaceutical regulatory standards, ensuring that engineering solutions drive high-impact clinical decisions. The specialist will work with frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, and AutoGen to automate complex clinical data management tasks. They will also build collaboration systems where specialized agents resolve end-to-end data challenges through high-quality, testable code and CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, the role involves deploying AI agents into a cloud environment (AWS) and creating reliable "Human-in-the-loop" workflows to solve complex, highly regulated data challenges. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or Biomedical Informatics, along with 5+ years of experience. They should also have 8+ years of experience delivering AI/ML solutions and 3+ years in full-stack software and data engineering. Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI orchestration frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or LlamaIndex are essential. The candidate should also have solid experience with modern data engineering, including SQL/NoSQL, APIs, Vector Databases, and optimizing RAG pipelines. Strong experience deploying AI systems on AWS, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and service observability is required. A strong understanding of model reproducibility, interpretability, and validation best practices within highly regulated environments is also necessary. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse global stakeholders are crucial. Fluency in English is a must. Nice-to-have skills include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related quantitative field. Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Healthcare, FinTech, or Aerospace is beneficial. Understanding of clinical trial life cycles and data standards, as well as familiarity with monitoring tools for system performance, workflow analytics, and MLOps/DevOps best practices, are also advantageous. Contributions to open-source agentic frameworks or internal AI tooling in the automation or productivity space are considered an advantage. Experience with other programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, R, or RShiny is also beneficial. Sharing a GitHub account showcasing relevant work is considered an advantage.
