iOS Software Engineer

ActAI builds proactive applications that embed artificial intelligence directly into everyday tools such as email, notes, tasks, and calendars, aiming to make complex prompting unnecessary for billions of users. As an iOS Software Engineer you will own the experience of the iOS client, shaping how AI feels, reacts, and performs in the hands of real‑world users. Your daily work will involve creating and sustaining a production‑grade iOS app using Swift and SwiftUI, wiring AI‑driven capabilities through backend APIs, and crafting user‑experience patterns for AI interactions—handling loading states, streaming replies, retries and fallbacks. You will also fine‑tune performance, memory consumption and battery impact, gather user signals for AI evaluation, and work closely with backend and machine‑learning engineers on API design and system behavior while ensuring the app meets App Store quality and reliability standards. The role requires at least three years of iOS development experience with Swift, proven ability to integrate AI features into mobile applications, and a solid grasp of async/await, concurrency and background processing. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in performance and memory optimization, have shipped and maintained production iOS apps, and feel comfortable designing for latency, partial failures and the unpredictable nature of AI outputs. Exposure to CoreML or lightweight on‑device machine learning, as well as familiarity with feature‑flag or remote‑configuration systems, is expected, along with a strong sense for AI‑centric UX and user‑trust considerations.
