HR Business Partner (f/m/d)

Novelis, the world's leading aluminium recycler and supplier of lightweight solutions for sectors such as automotive, beverage cans, aerospace and specialty markets, is expanding its HR team at the Sierre site. The company operates a global network of rolling, recycling and casting facilities across 29 locations in nine countries, employing more than 12 000 people. As an HR Business Partner you will join this international organisation and act as the primary HR liaison for managers and staff in a dynamic industrial setting. In this position you will translate organisational needs into practical HR actions, advising leaders on leadership development, employee relations and performance management. You will handle sensitive cases while ensuring compliance with Swiss labour legislation and internal policies, support change programmes, and contribute to succession planning for critical roles. Collaboration with Talent Acquisition will cover recruitment, onboarding and retention, while you will also drive annual HR cycles such as performance reviews, talent assessments and development planning. A visible presence on the plant floor will allow you to foster strong connections with employees and continuously improve HR processes and the overall employee experience. The role requires a university‑level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a comparable discipline, together with solid experience as an HR Business Partner who has taken on extensive business‑partnering duties. A deep understanding of Swiss employment law and local HR practices is essential, as is fluency in both French and English. Proven expertise in employee‑relations matters, coaching managers, managing performance and guiding organisational change is expected, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities. The ability to navigate complex, confidential situations with sound judgement and to work both independently and as part of a broader HR network is also required.
