The Senior Cryptography Engineer will focus on implementing and maintaining cryptographic algorithms and software. The main day-to-day responsibilities include developing reference and optimized models of specific cryptographic algorithms in languages like C, C++, Rust, and Python. The role also involves creating test infrastructure to verify the correctness of these implementations and supporting hardware and firmware teams with algorithm expertise and debugging. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the decomposition of algorithms into hardware-friendly building blocks and evaluate third-party cryptographic libraries. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Master's degree in Cryptography, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in implementing cryptographic algorithms or security-critical software in C, C++, or Rust. A solid understanding of modern cryptographic primitives and exposure to post-quantum schemes is essential. Fluency in English is required, with French or German being an advantage. The role is based onsite in Geneva, Switzerland. Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with NIST test-vector formats, CAVP/ACVP, or certification-oriented development. The role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most experienced cryptographic engineers in the field, contributing to cutting-edge projects in quantum-safe communications. What the role asks for: - A Master's degree in Cryptography, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field. - At least five years of experience implementing cryptographic algorithms or security-critical software in C, C++, or Rust. - Fluency in English. - Solid understanding of modern cryptographic primitives. - Exposure to post-quantum schemes (lattice-based or hash-based) and their underlying mathematics. - Nice-to-have: Familiarity with NIST test-vector formats, CAVP/ACVP or certification-oriented development.
