Industrial Operations Manager (High-Technology Manufacturing)

Gramian Consultancy, a boutique firm that provides IT professional services and engineering talent solutions, is recruiting an Industrial Operations Manager for an established international client that operates in a high‑technology industrial setting. The position is intended to strengthen leadership of a core manufacturing function, combining people management, operational excellence, performance oversight, production planning and structured problem‑solving. In this role the manager will direct daily activities within a sophisticated manufacturing environment, tracking key performance indicators and addressing any gaps through corrective plans. Responsibilities include aligning production, technical, maintenance and support groups to maintain continuous operation, handling capacity, staffing, scheduling and resource distribution, and mentoring team leaders to develop their capabilities. The manager must also guarantee adherence to safety, environmental, quality and internal standards, lead root‑cause investigations for major issues, pinpoint bottlenecks and drive efficiency and process enhancements, support audit activities and follow‑up on corrective actions, and spearhead cross‑functional continuous‑improvement projects. Candidates need an engineering degree or comparable technical education, at least five years of experience in manufacturing or industrial operations management, and a minimum of three years within a high‑precision, electronics or advanced‑manufacturing context. A solid grasp of manufacturing processes, complex production flows, KPI management and improvement initiatives is required, as is proven ability to lead production teams and develop frontline supervisors. Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English are mandatory. Experience in industrial maintenance or production reliability is advantageous. The position is based on‑site in Switzerland and involves shift work covering days, nights and weekends.
