Material Planner

A global leader in engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, based in Zurich, Switzerland, seeks a Material Planner to support its extensive network of partners across Europe, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. The company, with more than nine decades of experience, delivers fully tailored MRO solutions for aircraft engines, airframes and component sales, serving over five hundred customers worldwide. In this position you will organise the flow of engine components and assemblies according to priority, keeping the work‑load balanced across rework and inspection cells. You will set timing targets for each stage, keep internal and external customers informed, and resolve issues with suppliers or clients concerning technical and procedural matters. The role also includes defining charge‑back for completed steps, applying continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost quality, safety and cost efficiency, and maintaining a tidy workspace in line with 5S standards. The ideal candidate has completed a three‑ to four‑year technical apprenticeship and brings two to four years of experience with engine services, especially on PW4000 and CFM56 types. You must be capable of working independently with high precision, possess strong organisational and coordination abilities, and communicate effectively within a technical environment. Basic competence with MS Office and SAP is required, as is English at a minimum B2 level. Flexibility to operate in a two‑shift schedule is essential, and eligibility to work in Switzerland under an EU, Swiss passport or local permit is mandatory.
