IT Project Manager

The client is a globally‑operating organisation headquartered in Geneva that drives digital transformation and strategic technology programmes. They are looking for an IT Project Manager who can combine solid project‑leadership skills with a deep technical background to act as the link between business units and technology groups across several countries. In this position you will be responsible for steering IT initiatives from the initial concept through to hand‑over. Daily tasks include defining project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource plans, as well as turning business needs into clear technical workstreams. You will coordinate infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, data and business teams, spot risks and dependencies, enforce governance and quality standards, run steering committees and status meetings, produce executive reports and monitor performance via KPIs and dashboards. The role also covers change‑management support, vendor oversight, contribution to technology‑strategy discussions and ensuring a smooth shift to operational support after delivery. The successful candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in IT, computer science, engineering or a related discipline and brings more than five years of experience running IT projects in complex, multinational settings. A hands‑on technical background in software, infrastructure, cloud services or enterprise applications is required, together with proven ability to juggle several projects and stakeholders at once. The applicant must be well‑versed in project‑delivery methods, comfortable working in multicultural, globally dispersed teams, and possess strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills. A solid grasp of enterprise IT environments, system architecture, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud), enterprise applications, integrations, data flows, cybersecurity principles and IT‑governance frameworks is essential, as is experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid approaches and proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or MS Project. The ability to read technical designs, architecture diagrams and infrastructure layouts is also expected.
