Julius Baer, the premier Swiss wealth‑management firm with a presence in roughly 60 cities worldwide, is looking for a working‑student to join its Legal Financial Products & Institutionals team. The position runs part‑time (40‑60 %) on a fixed‑term contract that ends on 31 December 2026, offering a chance to contribute to a global bank while still studying. The day‑to‑day agenda includes reviewing the legality of new subscriptions to alternative investment vehicles, known as Non‑Traditional Funds. You will also assist with routine paperwork linked to over‑the‑counter derivatives, such as drafting framework agreements and confirming transactions, as well as handling documentation for structured products. The role supports the legal and documentation groups on tasks that affect Global Products and Services and Custody, carries out legal research across several topics, and looks after the team's shared mailbox. Candidates must have completed at least two semesters of a law or economics programme, or be enrolled in a comparable applied‑science course; a bachelor's degree is seen as a plus. Prior exposure to banking is valued, and a genuine interest in economic environments and regulatory frameworks is expected. The ideal applicant works proactively, independently, and with a practical mindset, consistently delivering high‑quality results. Reliability, strong teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to assert oneself are essential. Fluency in German and solid written and spoken English are required. The role sits within a vibrant, internationally oriented environment where flat hierarchies and supportive leadership are the norm. Julius Baer promotes a culture built on care, passion and excellence, and offers flexible working arrangements, a broad benefits package and ample opportunities for professional growth. Working alongside motivated colleagues from diverse backgrounds, you will gain insight into the bank's wealth‑management operations while developing specialised legal expertise. What the role asks for: - Enrolled in law or economics studies (minimum two semesters) - Bachelor's degree (advantageous) - Banking experience (beneficial) - Interest in economic and regulatory matters - Proactive, independent work style - High performance and reliability - Strong team player with communication and assertiveness - Fluent German, written and spoken - Strong English, written and spoken
