Accountant

The role is Accountant for an international boutique trust company based in Zug, Switzerland. The position requires a German‑speaking professional to handle a wide range of accounting and trust‑related tasks for the firm's clients. Daily duties include independent client accounting, preparing interim, monthly and annual financial statements according to OR, managing financial accounting and liquidity planning, overseeing payroll accounting, connecting social insurances and filing annual declarations, and handling contract management. The accountant also supports compliance, prepares tax returns for legal entities, controls tax assessments, advises on both international and national client mandates, processes client payments, maintains client dossiers, and leads internal training presentations. The employer expects solid qualifications: a commercial apprenticeship, completed further training as a trustee FA/accountant FA, at least five years of trusteeship experience (preferably in an international setting), strong PC skills with Windows, Office, Sage and Abacus, and fluent written and spoken English and German. Additional expectations are excellent client‑handling abilities, a friendly demeanor even in difficult situations, and a high level of quality awareness for annual accounts and documents.
