Electrical Technician

CBRE is looking for an Electrical Technician to handle the upkeep and repair of equipment at a specific site. The role involves a range of tasks, from inspecting and maintaining equipment to installing and repairing it. The technician will also be responsible for following safety protocols and making necessary repairs to prevent damage. The Electrical Technician's daily tasks include reviewing and following instructions for scheduled and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections. They will also need to assess when equipment should be shut down to prevent further damage or when it can continue operating safely. The technician will dismantle, clean, repair, and replace electrical equipment, as well as make mechanical repairs as needed. They will also install, splice, or replace wire sections and handle emergency repairs independently. To qualify, candidates must have a High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma, along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a combination of experience and education will be considered. The role requires physical fitness, including the ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Strong communication skills, basic math skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products are also essential. It is beneficial to have strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset. The role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The technician will work under close supervision and guidance, following defined procedures and processes.
