Founder in Residence

Base360.ai is developing an AI-powered operating system for short-term rental businesses, integrating various aspects such as property management, guest communication, and financial reporting. The Founder in Residence role involves creating a new business vertical within the company, identifying high-potential opportunities, and building a standalone business with significant revenue and impact. The main day-to-day responsibilities include identifying opportunities in the short-term rental industry, validating customer problems through research, and defining the product vision and strategy. You will work closely with engineering, product, design, and AI teams to build and launch new products. Additionally, you will recruit and lead a multidisciplinary team, own growth and financial performance, and make data-driven decisions. Presenting progress to the founders and executive team is also a key part of the role. To be successful in this role, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and strong product and commercial intuition. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and creating structure where none exists. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to recruit, inspire, and lead high-performing teams. A highly analytical approach with strong execution capabilities is also required. Additionally, you should be obsessed with customers and building products people love, and comfortable wearing multiple hats across product, sales, marketing, and operations. Experience in AI technologies is a must. Nice-to-have skills include previous startup experience, as a founder, early employee, product leader, operator, or investor. Experience in short-term rentals, hospitality, or property technology is also a plus.
