Aerospace Composites Engineer - Team Lead

The Aerospace Composites Engineer, Team Lead will head the creation of cutting‑edge composite structures for aerospace projects, providing technical direction to multidisciplinary groups. The position is based fully onsite in Stans, Switzerland, and is a full‑time, permanent role. Day‑to‑day duties include steering composite‑structure development from initial requirements through certification and in‑service support. You will supervise design, structural analysis and component evaluation, guaranteeing compliance with engineering and regulatory standards. Close collaboration with design, manufacturing, materials, testing, certification and programme teams is essential, as is tracking schedules, budgets, risks and technical progress while reporting to stakeholders. The role also supports the assessment and adoption of new materials, technologies and manufacturing methods and coordinates technical activities with suppliers and external partners. The employer requires a Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials or a related engineering discipline, together with more than ten years of experience in composite‑structure design, development, analysis and certification. Candidates must possess deep expertise in composite structural engineering, proven leadership of engineering teams, and familiarity with the full product‑development lifecycle from requirements to validation. A solid grasp of composite materials, manufacturing processes and design‑for‑manufacturing principles, as well as knowledge of aerospace certification requirements and industry standards, is mandatory. Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities and fluency in English are also required. German at a B2 level is considered an advantage.
