eCommerce Product Data Specialist (Maternity cover 9-months)

VF Corporation is seeking an eCommerce Product Data Specialist to cover a nine‑month maternity leave on the Vans team in Stabio, Switzerland. The role sits within a global apparel group that owns iconic lifestyle brands such as Vans, The North Face and Timberland, and focuses on reshaping how the digital catalogue is built and maintained. Each day the specialist will redesign and automate the intake of seasonal assortments, creating scalable, data‑driven workflows that cut manual effort and speed up time‑to‑site across multiple marketplaces. They will assemble and harmonise product data from relational databases, the InRiver PIM system, Excel files and master feeds to form a single source of truth. AI tools will be employed to generate SEO‑friendly product copy and enrich product detail pages at scale. In addition, the role involves constructing reporting dashboards to track data quality, catalogue completeness and publishing speed, as well as overseeing attribute management, taxonomy design and category structuring to improve discoverability. Candidates must hold a university degree—bachelor’s or master’s—in data‑related fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or possess equivalent experience. They need solid expertise with large data sets, relational databases and PIM platforms, plus hands‑on experience using generative AI for content automation. Two to four years of experience in a data‑centric eCommerce or digital environment is required, along with fluency in English; any additional language is advantageous. Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with tools like SQL, Power Query or Python are considered strong pluses, as are strong communication and process‑building abilities.
