As an Associate Specialist Lipids you will join Nestlé Research in Vers‑chez‑les‑Blanc, Switzerland, on a two‑year full‑time contract. The role sits at the heart of Nestlé's scientific effort to turn lipid physics and chemistry into innovative food solutions for people, pets and the planet. You will work alongside multidisciplinary research groups, product developers, external partners, universities and research institutes, helping to shape sustainable breakthroughs. Your daily work will involve staying abreast of the latest methods and trends in lipid science, turning those insights into solid scientific concepts that can be applied to food products. You will lead research projects, present findings to both technical and business audiences, and design laboratory experiments that deepen understanding of lipid crystallisation, structuring and oxidation. In addition, you will pass on this knowledge to development teams to speed up innovation cycles and support successful product launches. Building the group's scientific profile through patents, publications, conference talks and mentoring of students and technicians will also be part of your remit. To succeed, you must hold a PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a deep grasp of lipid crystallisation, structuring and oxidation. You need strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, as well as proven ability to manage projects, organise work and communicate results clearly. Proactive collaboration across different fields, a high level of integrity and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing knowledge are essential. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required; any additional language proficiency is considered a plus.
