Support Engineer

Amazon RIVR, a robotics venture that emerged from ETH Zurich and was taken over by Amazon in early 2026, creates wheeled‑legged machines capable of navigating stairs, doors and uneven city streets for last‑mile delivery. The company blends custom hardware, on‑board autonomy and cloud coordination to advance practical Physical AI, and it now seeks a Support Engineer to reinforce the technical backbone that powers its global teams, laboratories and operational sites. In this position you will design, deploy and fine‑tune the IT landscape, concentrating on network topology, Linux platforms, audiovisual gear and user devices to keep services highly available. Tasks include configuring switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs and wireless links; building segmented lab networks with isolated subnets and semi‑air‑gapped zones for AI/ML work and hardware testing; conducting on‑site infrastructure audits and applying security upgrades; handling employee onboarding through account creation, hardware provisioning and tool orientation; imaging and managing the lifecycle of laptops, workstations and peripherals; and delivering everyday technical assistance while collaborating with the AI/ML group to automate internal workflows.
