Product Structuring Specialist

The position of Product Structuring Specialist is based in Zürich with UBS Asset Management, the alternative‑investment arm of a global wealth manager and universal bank. The role sits inside the Alternative Product Structuring team, which belongs to the Structuring & Client Platform function and supports the broader product shelf that spans both traditional and alternative solutions for UBS clients worldwide. Day‑to‑day duties revolve around shaping and expanding the direct Alternative offering, especially in real estate. The specialist will generate fresh product concepts, steer the development cycle from design through governance to launch, and keep the portfolio competitive. Responsibilities also include market analysis to spot new opportunities, drafting strategic structuring advice, maintaining the product roadmap, and working closely with client‑coverage, investment, legal, tax, compliance, risk and operations partners to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions. The employer requires solid experience in the financial industry with a focus on real‑estate investment vehicles such as open‑ended, closed‑ended, evergreen or structured funds. Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's qualification in finance, accounting, a related discipline or possess a legal background, and be fluent in both German and English. Prior involvement in fund creation and familiarity with the associated legal, tax and regulatory framework are essential. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint together with strong data‑handling abilities, proven project‑management competence and the capacity to act independently while collaborating across diverse groups are also mandatory. A background in global alternative‑investment structures and an understanding of the competitive real‑estate landscape are valued, as is a deep enthusiasm for the alternatives ecosystem and its evolving trends. Holding a CFA or CAIA charter is considered advantageous but not required.
