Bristol Myers Squibb is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering, developing and delivering innovative medicines that address serious diseases. The Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs CHAT will lead end‑to‑end corporate affairs activities for the Switzerland and Austria sub‑region, aligning communications with the company's strategic priorities and the broader CHAT portfolio. The role involves planning, creating and executing integrated communications plans that span external and internal audiences, media relations, brand and disease awareness, and digital channels. Responsibilities include translating regional strategy into concrete messaging, managing agencies and external partners, monitoring KPIs, and producing briefing materials for data releases, product launches and policy updates. The manager will also support crisis response, drive patient‑advocacy engagement, and ensure internal communications reinforce external narratives, working closely with drug development, medical, commercial and market‑access teams. Candidates must bring at least eight years of experience in brand, commercial or corporate communications, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector, and possess a strong network of contacts across Switzerland and Austria. A proven ability to deliver high‑impact, multi‑channel programmes in a regulated environment is essential, as is a solid grasp of the regional political landscape and its implications for reputation. The ideal applicant demonstrates strategic thinking, excellent digital, writing and storytelling skills, and can thrive under pressure in a fast‑moving setting. Experience in a large global organisation with matrix collaboration across access, regulatory, medical and legal functions, together with a track record of partnering with senior executives, is required. Fluency in both English and German is mandatory, and an additional language spoken in the sub‑region is considered a plus. The position reports to the Director, CHAT/CEE and works in close partnership with the Cluster Corporate Affairs Lead. While the role can be performed under one of BMS's flexible work models, the focus on Switzerland and Austria means the incumbent will often engage with local stakeholders, patient groups and media outlets. The company promotes an inclusive culture, wellbeing initiatives and comprehensive benefits, and encourages applicants whose skills align with the role even if they do not meet every criterion perfectly. What the role asks for: - 8+ years brand, commercial or corporate communications experience (pharma preferred) - Strong network of contacts in Switzerland and Austria - Proven record of integrated multi‑channel communications in regulated settings - Understanding of regional political environment and its impact - Strategic thinking with digital, writing and storytelling expertise - Ability to perform under pressure in fast‑changing environment - Experience in large global organization with matrix collaboration - Ability to partner with senior business stakeholders - Fluency in English - Fluency in German - Additional regional language (preferred)
