Base360.ai provides an AI‑driven operating system for short‑term rental operators, consolidating reservations, guest communication, pricing, payments, cleaning, maintenance and reporting into a single platform. As a Product Engineer you will join a small, founder‑led team that builds the core software enabling property managers to automate manual work, cut costs and scale their portfolios worldwide. In this role you will translate real customer problems into reliable, intuitive products. Your daily work spans the full development lifecycle: you will gather insights from property managers, prototype ideas, and then implement end‑to‑end features using both frontend and backend technologies. You will craft user‑friendly interfaces, design event‑driven automation workflows, and integrate AI‑powered capabilities such as LLM‑based guest communication. Building and maintaining robust APIs and integrations with partners like Airbnb, Stripe, Twilio and OpenAI is also part of the job, as is measuring adoption and iterating based on feedback to ensure the platform scales securely as more operators join. The position requires a proven track record of building and shipping production software and the ability to work across both frontend and backend stacks. You must have hands‑on experience with React, TypeScript, Python and FastAPI (or comparable frameworks) and a solid grasp of APIs, databases and cloud architecture. A product‑focused mindset, good judgment on usability and technical trade‑offs, and confidence in collaborating directly with customers, designers and founders are essential. You should be comfortable working independently, owning outcomes, and possess a curiosity for AI, automation and operational efficiency, together with a bias toward shipping, learning and iterating. Experience in short‑term rental or hospitality technology, multi‑tenant SaaS platforms, marketplace integrations, AI agents, workflow automation, product analytics, event‑driven architectures or Supabase/AWS serverless infrastructure would be advantageous but is not mandatory. The role offers the chance to influence product direction, see ideas tested in a live operation, and grow alongside a fast‑moving startup that values impact, autonomy and rapid learning. What the role asks for: - Strong experience building and shipping production software - Ability to work across frontend and backend systems - Experience with React and TypeScript - Experience with Python and FastAPI - Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and cloud architecture - Product mindset with user‑need curiosity - Good judgment on usability and technical trade‑offs - Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working solutions - Confidence collaborating with customers, designers, and founders - Ability to work independently and own outcomes - Curiosity about AI, automation, and operational efficiency - Bias toward shipping, learning, and iterating - Nice-to-have: Experience in short‑term rental or hospitality tech - Nice-to-have: Multi‑tenant SaaS platform experience - Nice-to-have: Marketplace and booking channel integration background - Nice-to-have: AI agents and workflow automation knowledge - Nice-to-have: Product analytics and experimentation skills - Nice-to-have: Event‑driven architecture familiarity - Nice-to-have: Supabase and AWS serverless experience
