Merchandising Specialist

A Merchandising Specialist will join an international fashion firm, helping to shape and launch seasonal collections across several product lines. The position works hand‑in‑hand with Design, Product Development, Production, Sales and Planning groups to keep the assortment commercially sound, aligned with corporate objectives and responsive to market shifts. Day‑to‑day duties involve mapping out the architecture of each season’s range, deciding on categories and price tiers, and building assortment plans, line lists, collection grids and pricing frameworks. The specialist will coordinate with multiple functions throughout product development and rollout, analyse sales performance, produce hindsight reports, benchmark rivals and extract market insights. In addition, they will support go‑to‑market activities by preparing presentations, sell‑in tools and gathering retailer feedback. Candidates must hold a degree in Merchandising, Product Management, Business or a related discipline and bring three to five years of experience in collection merchandising within a structured consumer‑goods environment. Strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with PLM or ERP systems are required, as is fluency in English; other languages are considered a plus. The role values a commercial mindset, meticulous organization, effective cross‑functional communication and the capacity to juggle several deadlines. It is a permanent, full‑time position based in Lugano, classified under Business Professionals and the Business‑Analyst function, with the start date to be agreed.
