Research associate, study coordination & clinical research

Felix Platter, a leading Swiss institution dedicated to healthy ageing, integrates acute geriatric medicine, geriatric psychiatry and rehabilitation under one roof and conducts research aimed at improving dementia diagnosis and treatment. The organisation is now creating a Dementia Research Centre and seeks a research associate to independently coordinate clinical studies and help shape this new hub. The associate will take charge of planning and managing clinical research projects, supporting the design of new studies and grant proposals, and overseeing study start‑up activities. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining study documentation, organising meetings, training sessions, presentations and Data Safety Monitoring Boards, and tracking milestones, recruitment goals, timelines and budgets. The role also serves as the primary contact for internal and external research enquiries and fosters collaborations with national and international partners, notably the UK Dementia Research Institute. Candidates must hold a university degree in medicine, pharmacy or natural sciences together with a completed doctorate (PhD or equivalent). Several years of experience in academic or industry clinical research, particularly in trial coordination or research management, are required. Applicants should possess a solid understanding of the regulatory framework for clinical studies, with ICH‑GCP knowledge regarded as advantageous, and demonstrate proven project‑management skills. Fluency in written and spoken German and English, strong organisational and communication abilities, an independent and solution‑focused work style, and a service‑oriented, interdisciplinary mindset are essential.
