The position is hands‑on and process‑oriented, requiring the operator to work directly with energetic and chemical substances while adhering to strict quality and safety standards. Day‑to‑day duties involve executing propellant mixing, casting, and curing steps according to validated batch records and standard operating procedures. The technician will weigh and prepare raw materials, operate mixers, casting stations and curing ovens, and log all process parameters for each batch. In‑process quality checks, visual and dimensional inspections, and prompt escalation of any non‑conformances are also part of the routine. Additional tasks include supporting final‑product assembly, packaging, troubleshooting together with the Production Manager, engineering and QA, and keeping the work area tidy and compliant with housekeeping and safety rules. Continuous improvement of the production flow and safety practices is encouraged. The role requires a solid background in chemistry, chemical production, or a comparable technical discipline. Candidates must have practical experience in a chemical or process‑manufacturing setting, preferably with batch production, and be familiar with handling hazardous or energetic materials under Swiss safety regulations (SUVA, StFV). Accurate execution and maintenance of SOPs and batch documentation, as well as experience in quality control and in‑process inspection, are essential. High attention to detail, a methodical approach, and the ability to work safely at speed are mandatory. Fluency in German or English is considered an advantage. Nice‑to‑have attributes include a Chemielaborant EFZ qualification, prior work with energetic or pyrotechnic substances, and deeper knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements. The Lucerne location offers a collaborative team focused on precision, safety, and continuous learning, providing a stable environment for professionals who thrive on disciplined, high‑quality production work.
