The role is a PhD position in the Psychology of Sustainability and Behavior Change at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Basel. The PhD candidate will join a new research group dedicated to understanding and promoting pro-environmental behaviors through behavioral science methods. The main day-to-day responsibilities include designing and modifying behavioral tasks, conceptualizing and conducting laboratory and online experiments, and analyzing data to understand pro-environmental behavior. The role also involves designing and analyzing field experiments to test interventions, disseminating research findings, contributing to teaching activities, supervising student researchers, and handling organizational tasks within the research group. To qualify, candidates must have a very good master's degree in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have excellent knowledge of research methods and statistics, and be proficient in both English and German. Experience with laboratory studies, field experiments, and statistical software is beneficial. Candidates must be organized, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
