The Regional Medical Lead, Nephrology role at Biogen involves providing strategic medical leadership across the nephrology portfolio. This includes pipeline development, launch readiness, evidence generation, and medical execution. The main day-to-day responsibilities include leading regional medical strategy and execution, providing medical leadership to clinical development and evidence generation, and supporting key regional medical initiatives. This involves working with advisory boards, medical education, scientific communications, and collaborative research activities. The role also requires partnering with various teams, including Medical, Commercial, Corporate Affairs, and Value & Access, to ensure a consistent medical voice and coordinated execution. Additionally, the position involves identifying evidence and patient journey gaps and providing strategic recommendations to optimize patient outcomes. To qualify for this role, candidates must have an advanced scientific or medical degree, such as an MD, PhD, or PharmD, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Strong nephrology expertise and experience working at both affiliate and above-market levels are essential. Candidates should have experience developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies across the product lifecycle, from pipeline to established stages. Proven ability to translate regional and affiliate insights into global medical strategy is also required. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate complex scientific topics clearly.
