The Audi Revolut F1® Team is the official factory entry of Audi into the FIA Formula 1 World Championship starting in 2026. The programme spans three sites, the power‑unit centre in Neuburg, Germany, the chassis and race‑operations hub in Hinwil, Switzerland, and the UK technology centre in Bicester. We are looking for an Aero Performance Engineer to join the Hinwil location and help turn the "Vorsprung durch Technik" mindset into race‑winning performance. In this role you will monitor and assess aerodynamic behaviour live during track sessions, whether on‑site or from a remote garage. You will feed back observations and recommendations to the track engineering crew during events, then carry out detailed post‑session performance and correlation analyses. Findings are reported to the Performance Director, Aerodynamic Development and Track Engineering, while you also help evolve aerodynamic modelling tools and work with the Wind‑Tunnel Methodology group and Aero Analytics on testing strategies and aero‑map generation. The position requires a strong academic background, a BSc, MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Motorsport with an aerodynamics focus. You must have proven experience as an aerodynamicist or aero‑performance engineer in Formula 1 or another top‑tier series, solid knowledge of aerodynamic measurement techniques, and be proficient in MATLAB and/or Python. Excellent teamwork, communication and organisational abilities, as well as a thorough grasp of current Formula 1 aerodynamic principles and car design, are essential. Fluency in English is mandatory; German language skills are a plus. We seek someone with an athlete's mindset, ready to push limits, travel to races and test sessions, and thrive under pressure while contributing to a historic motorsport project. What the role asks for: - BSc, MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Motorsport - Proven F1 aerodynamicist or aero performance engineering experience - Strong knowledge of aerodynamic measurement techniques - Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python programming - Excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills - Solid understanding of current Formula 1 aerodynamic principles and car design - Fluent English - German language skills (nice‑to‑have)
