2027 Internship - Investment Banking Mid Market – Zurich

The internship is offered by UBS, a worldwide wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland, within its Investment Bank's Global Banking division. You will join the Swiss Mid‑Market Investment Banking team in Zurich, where the group advises mid‑size Swiss companies, entrepreneurs and private‑equity owners on strategic and financing matters. During the six‑month placement you will be immersed in the full deal cycle. Typical tasks involve supporting advisory work on mergers and acquisitions, spin‑offs, refinancings and other transactions, conducting market and company research, performing financial modelling and valuation, and collaborating with colleagues from corporate banking, private banking and the broader international investment‑banking network. The role is aimed at students who will graduate in 2027 or 2028 and who thrive in a high‑tempo environment with tight deadlines. A strategic mindset, strong analytical and quantitative abilities, and a solid grasp of corporate finance, including accounting principles and valuation methods, are essential. Candidates must have an excellent academic record and be able to communicate clearly in English and German; French language skills are an additional advantage. Previous exposure to investment‑banking, transaction‑services or consulting work is valued, as is the ability to show how responsible use of AI can boost efficiency.
