The internship role is for an AI Software Engineer in the Portfolio Management Systems team, focusing on AI-powered portfolio intelligence. The main responsibilities include designing and developing AI-powered portfolio intelligence services. This involves creating conversational interfaces for complex investment questions, enabling AI assistants to retrieve and analyze portfolio data, and building analytics capabilities for performance, attribution, risk, and benchmark comparisons. The intern will also work on natural-language portfolio exploration and investment universe search and screening. Collaboration with data engineers, product owners, and investment specialists is key, as is contributing to the integration of these services into future AI-driven assistant solutions. To qualify, candidates must be Master's students in Computer Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Java or Node.js are essential, along with an interest in AI, LLMs, and distributed systems. A keen interest in financial markets and an analytical, problem-solving mindset are also required. Fluency in English or French is necessary, and candidates must reside in Switzerland or be willing to relocate.
