The company is looking for a Senior Automation & OT Engineer who will define and advance the automation strategy while guaranteeing that the operational technology driving production equipment remains reliable, compliant and continuously improved. In this position you will co‑develop the site’s automation roadmap, oversee project pipelines, budgets and CAPEX/OPEX tasks, and plan the full hardware‑software lifecycle. Daily duties include maintaining and troubleshooting automation hardware such as HMIs and PLCs, administering Windows Server environments, applying OS patches, segmenting OT networks and upholding cybersecurity hygiene. You will supervise automation for critical fill‑and‑finish lines, isolators, freeze dryers, autoclaves and utilities, while ensuring strict adherence to cGMP, data‑integrity and CSV standards. Documentation, change‑control procedures and validation support are part of the routine, as is testing backup and disaster‑recovery processes. Collaboration with manufacturing, QA and maintenance teams, managing vendor SLAs, spare‑parts inventory and providing on‑call alarm response complete the cross‑functional responsibilities. The role requires a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Automation, Engineering or a comparable technical discipline. Candidates must bring at least five years of hands‑on industrial automation or IT experience within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical setting. Proven competence with PLC and SCADA hardware, HMI/SCADA configuration, Windows Server administration and basic OT cybersecurity is essential. Leadership of technical projects, strong communication, structured problem‑solving under pressure and an ownership mindset are also mandatory.
