Business Manager, IB Unified Global Markets Distribution COO

The Business Manager for IB Unified Global Markets Distribution COO will join UBS, the world‑leading wealth manager and universal bank headquartered in Zurich with a presence in more than 50 markets. Based in Opfikon, the role sits within the UGM COO distribution team and supports the EMEA distribution function, linking sales, product and business stakeholders to advance the sales strategy for global‑markets products. On a daily basis the incumbent will steer routine COO operations, delivering business analytics, management‑information reporting and problem‑solving support for senior leaders. Responsibilities include preparing high‑quality presentations and MI documentation, overseeing the end‑to‑end operating platform, owning key controls and mapping product flows, and assisting the implementation of sales and client strategies together with product and sales teams. The position also acts as a bridge between business lines and internal support partners, promotes accountability across functions, and drives enhancements to COO and sales processes through automation and AI, collaborating with technology teams on front‑to‑back system improvements and revenue reporting. The successful candidate must bring at least four years of relevant experience in sales, business management, COO functions or consulting, and hold a bachelor's degree in finance or business administration. Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is essential, as is the capacity to work independently, meet deadlines and produce preliminary analyses. The role requires the ability to turn both qualitative and quantitative information into clear presentations for senior management, and an analytical mindset comfortable with senior‑level exposure. Candidates must also be adept at spotting, articulating and escalating issues or risks in a timely manner. A curiosity for artificial‑intelligence tools and a willingness to explore automation to optimise workflows are valued, as is familiarity with banking operational processes and product knowledge.
