Cybersecurity Engineer - Zero Trust

The company is expanding its security practice and seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer who is passionate about Zero Trust and can translate security needs into dependable technical implementations across modern IT landscapes. In this position you will operate at the crossroads of security, infrastructure, cloud and delivery, collaborating with architects and engineering squads. Typical tasks involve deploying and configuring Zero Trust controls, managing identity‑and‑access mechanisms such as IAM, MFA, SSO and conditional access, and applying ZTNA, SASE, network segmentation and secure connectivity. You will also harden cloud, hybrid and on‑premise settings, integrate identity providers and security platforms, and fine‑tune endpoint, network, identity and workload protections. Additional duties include testing and optimizing security tools, analyzing incidents, supporting remediation, enhancing monitoring and logging, automating configurations where valuable, and documenting solutions. The role requires proven experience in cybersecurity engineering, network or cloud security, or a comparable technical field, together with a solid grasp of Zero Trust concepts and modern security technologies. Candidates must have hands‑on expertise in at least one area such as IAM, ZTNA, SASE, segmentation, cloud or endpoint security, and be comfortable with enterprise networks, identity, authentication and cloud environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and implementation skills are essential, as is an independent, quality‑focused work style. Fluency in English or German is mandatory. Desirable background includes familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, as well as experience on Azure, AWS or Google Cloud and scripting or IaC tools like PowerShell, Python, Terraform or Ansible.
