Postdoctoral Fellow - Psychology

The School of Psychology at the University of New South Wales, one of Australia's top research‑and‑teaching universities, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow (Level A). The school is nationally and internationally recognised for its research excellence and offers a vibrant, inclusive campus located just 5 km from Sydney's centre, close to hospitals, transport links and beaches. In this part‑time (17.5 h week) role you will lead the day‑to‑day activities of the "Improving mental health outcomes through parent and teacher engagement in school‑based early intervention" project. Core duties include coordinating the trial, ensuring protocol compliance, managing data collection and analysis, preparing reports, manuscripts and presentations, and maintaining organised scheduling, communication and documentation systems. You will also travel regularly to South West Sydney schools to train staff, monitor progress and act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a PhD in Psychology with AHPRA endorsement as a clinical, educational or developmental psychologist. Candidates must show a strong record of high‑quality research and have hands‑on experience running longitudinal or randomised controlled studies in clinical psychology. Proven research‑coordination skills, such as developing protocols, building data‑management systems, handling governance, monitoring and reporting, are essential, as are excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to juggle a variety of tasks. UNSW offers a salary of $118 k, $126 k plus 17 % superannuation and annual‑leave loading, on a fixed‑term contract to July 2029.
